Examinations

firenze itaAt CiaoItaly students can take preparatory courses for Siena’s University for Foreigners CILS exams, Perugia’s University for Foreigners CELI exams, the Dante Alighieri Society’s PLIDA exams and the AIL’s "Firenze" exams.

These are official certificates that testify as to the degree of communicative competence in Italian as a foreign language. All foreigners wishing to certify their knowledge of Italian for study and / or work reasons can take these exams. The school is also an authorised assessment centre for the AIL "Firenze" exams and the CILS exams, which are held on set dates in the various authorised exam centres all over the world.

These exams certify as to the different levels of knowledge of Italian by testing the students’ listening and reading skills, their analysis of communication structures and their written and oral competence according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
